Out in the wide world of weddings, the most common term for complete wedding planning is Full Service. It’s a good term, but for me it isn’t descriptive enough. I like Planning & Management; you know what you are getting. I’ll plan it and manage it – simple as that.
Alright, it is not quite that simple. This level of service requires time – your time and mine. We trek through the wedding wilderness together. I show you the way, clear your path, and keep you safe. Along the way, I’ll learn about you as a couple, and you’ll learn a little about me too, but mostly it is about the two of you.
Telling your story
Why do I need to learn about you? I need to know your story so I can tell it throughout your wedding. Weddings are a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to express who you are, both as individuals and as a couple. The choices you make in planning your wedding have the ability to tell people who you are, or they can just be things. Helping you make the choices to tell your story is my greatest joy, finding you in every detail is a gift I can give you and your guests.
At every step, I’m there to answer questions, calm fears and keep you on track. Planning a wedding no matter the size or type takes effort, it requires attention to every detail, and nothing taken for granted. With Planning and Management, you don’t have to worry about missing any of those important details. That is my job. All you have to do is work with me, helping me to understand your dreams, wants and needs for your perfect wedding. Then it is up to my team along with the professional team (venue, photographers, videographers, caterers, etc.) to do the heavy lifting while you and your guests enjoy one of the most significant and special times of your life.
My team and I are at your wedding from before you wake up until long after you have gone to your honeymoon suite. From the rehearsal until you depart the day after the wedding, we are there to ensure you and your guests are comfortable, pampered and creating memories to cherish for a lifetime.
My staff is made up of three teams:
- Team 1 is the caretakers. They are with the two of you until you walk down the aisle, and then they are nearby to assist you throughout the wedding.
- Team 2 are the executors. They insure every detail arrives, is correctly assembled and properly placed. They are there to assist the other wedding professionals to make your dream a reality.
- Team 3 is me. I watch the big picture, am available for you and anyone on the team to answer questions, solve problems and ensure quality.
You want it all – someone to guide, manage and pamper you to your perfect wedding. Planning and Management provides a relaxed journey; we spend time getting to know you as a couple and each of you as individuals. We bring you only the choices that fit your wedding dreams and budget. When completed, you will have your perfect day, stress-free and enjoyable for you and your guests.
If this sounds like you reach out, I’d love to be your guide!
A little about Gwen: I launched Where to Start in 1991. My corporate world experience taught me the management skills necessary to work with multiple vendors and get the best for my clients. In addition, my broadcasting and theater studies in college play an important role in how I see weddings. I love getting to know my clients – finding out what makes them happy, what they love in life and about each other. I combine this knowledge with my experience to create your perfect wedding. I hope you will allow me the privilege of helping you create your perfect wedding.
