Bridget and Karl wanted a natural yet elegant wedding; down to earth yet glamourous.  The design inspiration became the natural beauty of Northern California using emerald green, black, gold and ivory as the color pallet. The oak tree became the symbol for the wedding.  Campovida, a beautiful vineyard and garden in Hopland, CA was the ideal venue for their wedding.

The weekend started with a rehearsal and lunch for the wedding party. That evening all guests who had arrived for the weekend were invited to kick off the celebration at a local tasting room for drinks.

As a tribute to the symbol of the wedding, the ceremony was held under a majestic oak tree surrounded by grapevines. Following the ceremony, Bridget and Karl and their guests moved to a lovely lawn area overlooking a scenic pond for cocktails.

After warm and funny toasts given by the Best Man and Maid of Honor, the lovely three-tiered wedding cake covered with white flowers was cut and sweetly shared by Bridget and Karl.

Finally dinner and dancing in a beautiful walled Tuscan Garden closed out the evening.  Karl surprised Bridget by having secretly taken ballroom dance lessons, so he was as smooth as Fred Astaire.

At the end of the evening, the guests were asked to follow Bridget and Karl back through glowing paths lit by gold luminaries to the parking area. Once there, the guest were asked to form a circle around Bridget and Karl and were given sparklers.  Everyone enjoyed a few minutes of feeling like children again.
